A taste of what’s to come!

The month of May is fast approaching, and soon I’ll begin spinning my wheels and tallying up miles.

In the meantime, we’ve been delving into our video vault from the 2015 pipeline trip to bring you voices from along the Trans Mountain route. The video below is a bit of a sample of how my submissions will be set up.

Most videos in the future will be of folks we interviewed. For this first one however, the camera has been trained onto our band of travelers.

This glimpse is from part-way through our pilgrimage. It begins on an icy cold morning in Blue River, British Columbia, having ridden the day before from Clearwater into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. The coming day would be our last full day in BC.

Something clicked that morning for the group; after some difficulties and setbacks early on, it felt like we had somehow hit our stride. Over breakfast, Erika, Derek, Kyle, Lou, and I decided to make a video to report out to social media so that Heather, a team member back in the USA, could get the word out.

The video finishes on views of later that day, then of riding near Jasper, dawn on gravel in the aspen parklands of Alberta, and finally a view of the tar sands themselves.

A video in the future will show what we found later on that day.

I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for watching!
